Spring beginnings

Its that time of year when nature comes alive. Electrified and powerful displays are commonplace now, animals and plants are awakening from their slumbers. Just standing in the cool river with eyes surveying the landscape can reveal so many things. Caddis flies are hatching thick in the evenings, blue back steelhead are beginning to bite and execute their amazing acrobatics on the end of your fly line. American shad are entering the system, and big striped bass are chasing them both with vicious surface displays complete with their signature kissing, popping, and violent thrashing sound effects on the top of the water column. I live for the sensory overload of Spring.

Its amazing out there, and there is just no excuse for failing to enjoy it.
